What Happens After The Injection Of Atarax?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Atarax is the brand name of hydroxyzine, an antihistamine used to cure allergic problems. It can be treated orally as well as through intramuscular injection. It is used to treat anxiety issues and give relief from stress. It is used before surgery and post surgery to increase the power of sedatives and pain relievers. As it blocks the naturally occurring histamine in your body, it is prescribed to use hydroxyzine for skin disorders like rashes and itching.

After taking the injection, you may feel dizzy or sleepy. It is recommended not to drive, use equipment or do any such thing that requires you to use your mental resources.  Let your doctor know about the medicines you are already using before being administered with an injection.
