What Is A Church Mass?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Broadly the word mass is used for a congregation of people and when you are using the term in the context of church, you are talking about a celebration of Eucharist in the Roman catholic church and some other famous churches.

When you are describing the definition of the Council of Trent, it is a traditional Christian teaching in which the church mass can be equated with the sacrifice of Calvary that is offered in an non-physical manner.

The Roman Catholic Church considers mass as the perfect way with which it can offer adoration to god. The mass also confirms the catholic belief that the wheaten bread and the grape wine are the Christ's body and the blood. You can find the evidence of the importance of mass when many people gather to celebrate the mass.
