How Was Football Invented?

Football is a team sport which involves kicking a ball with a foot. The aim is to score a goal. It involves two teams of 11-18 players.

The history of this game dates back to the times of Ancient Greeks and Romans. They played many games which involved a ball. Some were even played with feet like football. The origin of this game could be traced back to the Roman game Harpastum. This game resembled Rugby football.

Apart from that, Chinese military men also played a game like football. This game was known as kickball and originated between the 3rd century and the 1st century BC. Variations of this same game spread to other parts of the world and with time its methodology also changed.
