How Can I Become A Model Not For Fame But For Understanding?

First, learn about the profession as much as possible.  There are modeling schools but be wary as many tell students what they want to hear just to gain enrollment money.

If you can take several digital pictures of yourself (not necessarily professional), this would be a start.  Take a portrait, various clothing styles and emotions and a casual picture.  Make a small portfolio and then show it to people and ask their opinion.  

For efficiency, you could even post these pictures on a private web page and ask modeling firms or professional photographers to visit your website and give you their honest opinion.

Good luck!  Remember that trends in modeling are particular at times.  If it doesn't work out, do not let this discourage your opinion of your own beauty!
