The pain from chewing may be turning him off his food.  I suggest you call your veterinarian and book a recheck.  This might just be normal healing or there may be something going on with the surgical site.  Perhaps it has become infected or there is wound breakdown.  The area needs to be properly examined and your dog should have a full check up.  If his cheek appears more swollen, is red or hot to the touch, there may be an infection.  In the meantime, try offering soft, easily swallowed food and tempt him with his favourites.  Use warm salty water to keep the drain exit sites clean and allow any discharge to escape.
