How Do You Know When You Want To Be Married?

Every person asks this question once in his or her life reason being it is one of the most difficult questions of all. However, the answer to it is very simple and that is getting married when you feel you have the right person in your life with which you can spend the rest of the life with.

Marriage is not a game and one need to be serious about it because when two people get together they need to think properly if they are made for each other and have compassion and understanding between them or not. The souls should rekindle with each other and you should get the feeling that you may not be able to live with out that person in your life.

Your decision should be based on a couple of things such as, your age, maturity level, stability, being responsible, co operative, love between you and your partner, understanding and compatibility. List down these things either in your mind or on a piece of paper and try to gauge where you stand.

It is important that you are serious about marriage because it is a life time contract with the other person and is basically a new life or a new birth that takes place. Remember your life will completely change after marriage, in a good sense, and you should be prepared for it.

Depending on what criteria are set one can decide when one is ready. In several pagan cultures and in Judaism and Islam it was and is considered best that a person be married once they have achieved sexual maturity. This is believed to regulate society and prevent sin and corruption. Others make up their mind based on how financially capable they are, mostly in the case of men. Women these days generally delay marriage because they wish to pursue their carriers and feel that marriage and kids may come in their way. Some wait for the right sort of person to come along. Whatever you decide make sure that you don't spend the majority of your life waiting as marriage can be a beautiful thing, to share in the joys and sorrows of someone and to have someone besides you. Be careful and be warned however, that it is a challenge and yet it really is not that hard to stay in love.

Wanting to get married is a special feeling when you know everything about the relationship is right.
There are considerations such as where to live, can you afford a home of your own, do you both want children and your careers.
If you can agree on most of the important aspects of the life you both want and hope for you have a good foundation for marriage.
If one partner wants children and the other doesn't this can lead to great problems. Some people are very career orientated and others aren't.
You need to fully understand each other's needs and aspirations and respect them. Things can change after marriage too so you need to be prepared for that.
If you can envisage putting your partner first, caring for them when they are ill and other possible changes as life goes on then you're probably ready for marriage.

No one knows when anybodys gonna get married we just have to wait and see.
