How Do I Legally Change My Name?

I am divorced and I would like to know the simplest way to go about changing my name back to how it was originally. Is there an online service for this?

It varies from state to state. Most states require a court petition. When I legally changed mine in Georgia, I had to run a classified ad for two weeks announcing my intention (so I wouldn't be ducking bill collectors, even though I had none), plus file a court petition. I had a lawyer prepare the document, though I don't think that's required if you have the time to do it yourself. Your local courthouse can help you with your state specifics.

You can get a name change kit that includes the legal forms you need along with a hand book that includes the information/instructions you need at [ LegalFormsBank.biz ].
