Primarily the genres that Sandra Brown uses to write her novels are romance and suspense. She made her debut with a romantic novel but it is not a romantic novel that gave her the fame. She received accolades for her suspense novels and most of her recent novels are suspense thrillers only and not romantic.
       
There is a reason also for writers to go for writing suspense novels as most of the readers prefer to read that kind of novel only.
