How Dose The Weather Change?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Weather or climate cycles as they are generally referred to in everyday usage are caused due to the variations in temperature, pressure and moisture with respect to Earth's distance and angle from the Sun. The Earth has a certain tilt which causes the Sun's rays to fall at specific angles on the Earth. They generally cause winds at certain speeds, rain, heat waves, snow, tropical storms, tornadoes, hurricanes are all different salient features of weather cycles. When the Earth is closer to the Sun during the periods of May to August, a typical increase in the average temperature on Earth is experienced. As Earth distances itself further from the Sun Autumn and subsequently Winter is caused when the Earth is farthest from the Sun. Most of the temperature extremes in terms of heat are experienced around the equatorial region of the Earth while Extreme Winters are caused around the poles which typically remain frozen through out the year and receive no direct heat from the Sunlight for several months on occasions.
