Can You Tell Me Little About Hard Rock Cafe Mumbai?

Answer Question

Opened recently, it's gained popularity fairly quickly, and is the base for a lot of live acts, amateur rock bands, foreign artists and other popular acts. Set in South Mumbai, inhabited by 20 somethings and college students, makes for a fun night out, if the gig's worthwhile. Wouldn't recommend it otherwise. One can always escape to a pub alongside, called Shiros, a spacious space and large Buddha like stupas welcoming you at the entrance. One of my personal favourite thing about HRC is the special live 5 minute long performance by the waiters, dressed like they've come right out of a boy band, rock band obviously. Even though I've seen them shake a leg to 'YMCA' several times, it never ceases to interest me! The large frames of rockstars, their apparels, instruments from memorable concerts and the huge posters hanging by the ceiling of Jim Morrison, Bono etc. Sets a nostalgic tone among rock lovers, and gives you the silly special feeling of being in the company of rock gods. Food is good, would give it a 7.5 on 10, but is priced very high. Music played by the DJ are rock regulars, although I hate it when they play songs that are recent, like The Killers etc. The reason I frequent is because there are rarely any rock pubs in Mumbai, baring Totos in Bandra. And Jazz by the Bay at Marine Drive, they sometimes have live rock acts too, though retro and jazz is more dominant. ANother great place for live music is Zenzi, they play electronic mainly though. But these four pubs are worth visiting.
