My Kittens Are Not Even A Week Old But When Would They Open Their Eyes?

Answer Question

I f I remember correctly, ( and I'm not sure I do) You should see some baby blues, by the second to third week. The Mother will probably begin weening at week five or so, and at week eight it should be safe to seperate the kittens from the mother without last phsycological effects. (Forgive my spelling.)

Yeah, probably the second week or so, but they don't open all the way at once... They're precious little eyes :)

Kittens will open their eyes generally between 7 and 10 days.  They can open as early as 2 days or as late as 16 days.  Factors that affect when eyes open can include the father, age of the mother, exposure to light, handling, and gender.
Ocular discharge always should be examined by a veterinarian.  There are some viruses that can affect kittens and can be serious.
