Yes, a high body fat percentage does make it more difficult to conceive. You have to be at a certain level of health before you can reproduce, it's one of the ways our species protects itself from developing an unhealthy gene pool.

Well, let's face it: If you're badly overweight, it's going to be harder to find a willing sperm donor.

It can but not always. I have a friend that is over weight close to 300 if not over and now has three kids and working on number 4. I know a few women that are over weight and don't have any problems at all then you have that small % that has a hard time getting pregnant. Good luck to you.
