What Is Data Compression ?

There are two different types of data compression, data compression technique belongs to data communication, and number two data compression is capability and archiving technique to reduce the size of data by using data compression utilities. Data compression is used to reduce the space on the storage media, data compression utilities are designed to compress data and form a single file that can be extracted later.

By using data compression the facility user can reduce the large file size to save disk space, compress the size of disk space for freeing more space, and double the capacity of hard drive, a large number of software are available for data compression. Few examples of compressed data forms are like windows 98, windows 2000, windows XP, Microsoft office 2000, and lot of other software and applications are in form of compressed data which usually extracts on users hard drive. For compressing data their utilities like PKZip, Winzip, WinRAR,WinAce are most commonly available data compression utilities, also known as file archivers.

Now the other type of data compression according to data communication, data compression is a process sending and receiving data in an encoded form this transmission technique reduce the usage of resources and transmission bandwidth. Cellular networks are also using various techniques of data compression.

Data compression is a technique that is used to compress data i.e. less number of bits are used to represent original data which reduces the size of data.There are different algorithms that are applied to compress data.

I keep getting a message saying ntldr is compressed.  I cant get a promt to type anything, and i cant get into my computer.  What can i do to fix this?
