How Do You Deal With Fibromyalgia?
Just recently diagnosed with this disease. I am having a real tuff time. I am taking lyrica, 3 times doctor has up my dse. Is it going to take time to reach correct dose for me.

It took Doctors over 10 years to finally figure it out for me... I'm on an anti-depressant, that is the DR's drug of choice... Even though I'm not depressed.. I was told it raises serontin level... But other than making me feel like a zombie mentally I'm still in pain 24/7... I've learned to live with the pain though at age 55 I'm on disability + feel like a sickly old woman!

Are you on a titration schedule up, or do you go back to your doctor each time you need your dose upped? Hopefully, you are on a schedule, but yes, it may take a little bit of time to find the lowest effective dose of the medication. It may be that Lyrica has no effect on you and another medication needs to be tried. Unfortunately, Vioxx which was effective in pain control for a large number of people was taken off of the market because of concern that it may have been causing heart attacks in elderly patients.

Yes I have other heath issues also. When i feel that i am not doing well, it may work for a couple of hours then i was left with 4 hours until next dose. I am constantly going to the doctor it seems with having 7 specialists. I am also taking lexapro, Yes right now lyrics is the only medicine that is out there that is FDA approved. thanks for your information

Fybromyalgia is a miserable disease. I cannot imagine dealing with it 24/7
