Kittens are typically weaned between 6-8 weeks of age. Your kitten may need to continue on milk or milk replacer for another 1-2 weeks. Make sure your kitten is on a high quality kitten food-not an adult diet. Diet change and stress are common causes of diarrhea in kittens. Diet change may help diarrhea however intestinal parasites (worms) are also very common in kittens. Take your kitten to a veterinarian to make sure it is a good weight, on a high quality diet, tested for parasites, and dewormed appropriately.
