Answer Question

Nothing if you have the correct adaptor. Natural gas and lpg have different regulators.

BULL!!!!   Lp is a higher pressure gas than nat. If you hook up lp to a nat appliance without converting it to the proper fuel, the least of your problems will be a plugged water heater from soot and the worst will be death. Lp hooked to a nat appliance will make it a flame thrower.  Convert it to the proper fuel. Change the pilot orifice and burner orifice.

Fishwiz is a moron in this matter. You may have to change out the gas valve if your doesn't allow for the conversion and if you need to do that, you might as well buy a nat water heater.
