Is It Better To Buy A Games Console Or A Handheld Games Device?

Answer Question

It depends on which you prefer. If you're looking for a system that allows you to play game whilst travelling then a handheld games device may be the best option, although there may be some consoles which are portable, such as the Nintendo GameCube.

A handheld games system is much smaller and lighter than a console, which makes it ideal for travelling. The only drawback is the smaller screen, and the games are small, meaning that it could be easy to lose them (you could invest in a games holder). Handheld devices are also generally cheaper than consoles. They are also useful if you don't own a TV, as handhelds already have a screen. The Nintendo DS has two screens, one that acts as a touchpad and microphone, and one that displays the game. However, consoles may be a better option in terms of screen, as the bigger screen allows more people to join in when you're playing on a two or more player game.

Handheld devices usually have more platform games than consoles, so if you prefer these type of games then a handheld system may be the best option. Consoles usually have better sound quality and graphics than handheld systems, which may be the most important thing to consider, alongside screen size.
