    In Florida, Is A Non Paternal Parent Responsible For Child Support?

    I have a child that is not of this marriage, but my ex is the only father he knows. He has been in his life since he was 9mths old; he is now 61/2 yoa.

      If he did not legally adopt the child, no. However, that means that the real father or sperm donor, is still and always responsible for providing support whether or not you marry again. Go to the state's Health and Welfare Dept, Child Support Services, and for $25 they will find him, make sure a judge assigns Child Support Payments and follow up forever to be sure that he does. The boy totally deserves it.
