How To Care For A Primrose Plant?

Answer Question

3 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

A primrose plant generally blooms well somewhere around January to April. These plants need to be taken care of in order to get the best from them. For this the first thing you need to do is place your plant in a very well lit area, which is not too warm also. Next you need to water the plant at least two to three times a week. Once the plant is completely bloomed it may be kept out in the sun. These plants are found in plenty somewhere around the early spring.
The other type of primrose is known as the evening primrose. The ideal time to plant this plant is around winter. They grow up to a height of about 30-50 cm tall. They grow well in rich soil and the watering should also be kept moist whilst growing.

Bought primrose primula at walmart, variety gets 6-10" tall, 4-8 hrs sun, water 2-3 times a week.  It has holes in the leaves and no longer blooming.  Help - is it bugs eating on it?  That's what it looks like.  Powder of something to remedy this?
