The Down hurling club Ballygalget was founded on June 14, 1939 in Ballygalget parish. Its pitch is Mitchel Park, Ballygalget. Ballygalget is one of the many townlands which can be found in County Down, which in turn is located in Northern Ireland.

The club has seen a large number of Down wins in various categories starting from their first win in the year 1942. In this year they won the Junior Hurling Championship. While they have many wins across the senior, intermediate, junior and minor championship categories, they've had the most number of wins in the Minor Down Hurling Championships.

For more stories and to trade information you can visit the Ballygalget webpage on the official website of Down GAA.
