What Is The Story Of The Two Frogs?

One frog lived safely in a deep pond; the other lived in a shallow ditch by the side of the road. The ditch was obviously a dangerous and unpleasant place to live, and the sensible frog implored his friend to come and live with him in his deep, comfortable home. The stubborn frog thanked him, but said that he was now used to living in a shallow ditch; that he didn't think he would be happy so far away from everything; and that anyway nothing had ever happened to him, so how dangerous could it be?
He continued to argue in this way until a cart came along the road; its wheel rolled into the ditch and the frog was crushed to death. The message of this fable is that some people are always blind to their own interests. It could also imply that we all prefer what we are used to, even if it's clearly bad for us.
