The way to Amarillo depends largely on your starting point obviously. But for the sake of this example, let's assume we have flown in to Dallas Fort Worth Airport.
From the airport, Amarillo is 345 miles away, a drive that takes around six hours plus stops for fuel and rest along the way.
Taking the north exit from the east terminal of the airport, head on to the International Parkway North and follow this until it merges onto TX-114 W toward TX-121 S / FT WORTH
Continue on "US 287 north" - follow for 91.1 miles until it becomes "Interstate-44 east". After 0.7 miles, take the left fork onto "US-287 north" towards "Vernon" and continue for 104.0 miles.
Continue on US-287 until it merges onto "Interstate 40 west" toward "Dumas". Take "Exit 70" onto "US 60 east" toward "Dumas" - follow for 0.5 miles.
Take the "Buchanan Street" exit toward "Dumas/Pampa" - follow for 1.7 miles before turning right onto "Old Route 66 (Interstate 40)" - follow for 0.1 miles
