How Do You Choose Cookware?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

There are several factors to consider while deciding on cookware. The most significant factor is probably price, then appearance and finally the material used. It could also depend on what purpose the utensils are required for. The most expensive utensils are those that are made of copper. Aluminium on the other hand is far cheaper but needs to be treated for reactivity. Then there is cast iron, which can pit and rust and generally has food sticking to it. There are non-stick cooking utensils that are available as well. These generally have a coating of a black non-stick substance. Sometimes this Teflon coating wears off and this is both a health hazard and at certain places causes the food to stick to the inner material. The general rule is that the better cookware you select the more expensive it will be.
