Why Do Some Cyclists In The Tour De France Throw Out Newspapers During The Race?
While watching the Tour de France I noticed some cyclists appeared to be pulling newspapers from under their shirts and tossing them to the ground. What is the purpose of this?

Maybe they are done reading them and they figured it would be a discrete way to litter :P Naw, it gets cold on up there during the ride and descending from the hills the papers help break the wind. They don't wear jackets while riding and they want to stop the wind from drawing the sweat from their bodies and cooling them off too rapidly.
