How Do Salts In Soils Affect Growth Of Plants?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

Plants need some salt in the soil, but the amount is very tiny. Any amount that is too large will actually kill the plant. This is a common occurrence in over-farmed fields- water carries the salt in, evaporates, and leaves it behind in ever-increasing concentrations. Basically, it's a plant toxin.
