When they are telling you that you have a gallbladder blockage they probably are referring to stones are in the bile ducts preventing anything to pass. Surgery is the only way to get them out and so is a laser treatment.

As well as the above your doctor might be able to prescribe medication that can break up the stones only in minor cases though
