What Does Red Represent On The American Flag?

Answer Question

3 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

There is no official symbolism on the flag other than the stars represent states and the number of stripes represent the original 13 colonies. To me, though, the red represents the blood of my comrades in arms, the white represents the purity of the idea of freedom and the blue represents the potential of our citizenry, as limitless as the sky.    en.wikipedia.org
