How Do You Spank A Teen?

Same as you'd spank a preteen -- on the bare bottom, with a hairbrush or belt. But 14 is probably the oldest reasonable age to receive this type of punishment.

On Their bare bottom with a hairbrush over your lap until they are reduced to tears and their butt and face is completely red. I am 16 and am better behaved because my mom takes me over her lap when I need to be punished.

You put them over our lap and spank them with your hand or a hairbrush bare bottom. If it is a boy a paddle or belt is good too. It should make their bottom rosy and they should cry.  Spankings are for children through high school. However always do it in private.

You shouldnt. A teen needs to be grounded from the things that are important to them such as computers, cell phones, and video games. Make them help with chores around the house. If this doesnt work then a more strict punishment should be applied.

NO ONE WILL care when you are in court trying to explain why I, as a physician, was not justified at calling the police on an out of control "parent" (I actually believe that any person who hits his or her child is at that moment NOT any sort of a parent), and how hitting another individual is EVER EVER EVER justified. God, people. Just look at the research. It is not tough. Kids which were hit have worse behavior problems, they have lower self esteem, they are violent themselves, and believe that violence is the means to an end... After all that is what YOU have taught them... The one thing now it seems like you are struggling with is the fact that soon your own abuse is gonna come back on YOU.... And they will realize now THEY are bigger so they can now HIT YOU. This is what you have taught them after years and years of hitting them.. Sad, as it is likely that they will hit their own kids.... And on, and on, and on... And many boys who were hit have much higher likelihood of failures in academics and higher rates of criminal behaviors. So you are asking the wrong question... How about, how do I find someone to help given that all I have ever known how to do is to hit? How do I, as an adult, get some counseling to help me realize how blind I have been to how absolutely WRONG it is to physically strike a child????

Get a parenting book and see how to discipline them, spankings are for kids much younger!

Spankings should probably stop around the age of 13 or 14. Prior to that, the method should be consistent. I spank my kids (including my 13-year-old) over my knee, on their bare behinds, with a hairbrush.

Well i'm a teen and i'm spanked by my (adopted) Dad bare bottom!. Sometimes he gives me a few swipes across my behind with sandpaper too and i still love him and obey him. But yes bare bottom!.

Don't spank a teen over 16, but under 16, spank them by having them bend over a bed, then go to it with a belt or paddle!
