Cosmetics have been used for a long time and its use is increasing day by day. We can say that cosmetic is a face painting. In Egyptian burials eye shadow was used from back to 10,000 BC. The word "cosmetae" was initially used to explain Roman slaves whose process was to bathe male and female in perfume. (Keville, Green) Since the Egyptians, each subsequent civilization create different words that actually point out to the cosmetics and fragrance as one science, but the science eroded after Rome.

We can say that the creation of cosmetic has become a science. Anthropologists speculate that primitive perfumery started with the burning of gums and resins for incense. Richly scented plants were fused into animal and vegetable oils for ceremonial anointing and for happiness. From 7,000 to 4,000 BC, the thick oils of olive and sesame were collected with fragrant plants to make the real Neolithic ointments.

When the Egyptians were studding to write and make bricks in 3,000 BC, they were also increasing great quantities of myrrh. The starting recorded things of Egyptian commerce consist of spices, gums and other fragrant plants that were fixed actually for religious use.
