In simple words, chromosomal map helps to identify the genetic distribution throughout the chromosomes and their association with various disorders. At its basic level, it retrieves the data about a particular gene and the number of chromosomes in which it belongs. Gene map is a detail account of the structure of a particular gene. It also defines the DNA sequence within a gene. Understanding how gene affects the human system, it is very important to understand the genetic structure first. Last 10 years in genetic science is very significant in the sense to prepare and develop a genome map which helps to identify the several numbers of genetic diseases. In some cases, the genetic disorders are developed as a result of a mutation in one gene, but there are more cases, where these disorders are resulted from a complex overlapping of gene contribution such as inheritance. These types of disorders include asthma, diabetes, cancer and mental disorders. In such types of cases, there is no single gene contributed to the cause. So the research is ongoing to the advancement of the genetic map including a careful concern on this area.
