The county of Perthshire can be located in the central Scotland and extends from Strathmore in the east to Ben Lui in the West and Pass of Drumochter in the north to Aberfoyle in the south.

The county has a fame of being the big county and truly so, it has myriad of landscapes, rich agricultural straits and high mountains.

The county also has many famous places to boast of. It has the Blair castle, Scone Palace, Dunkeld Cathedral, Meikleour Beech Hedge and Dunsinane Hill.

The Blair Castle, one of the prime attractions of the area, is started building way back in the year 1269 by Earl of Badenoch, John Comyn. But he was building it on an unauthorised land. When the original owner of the land returned he incorporated the already built area in his own castle. It is a majestic castle and has many old time weapons for every one to see. This castle is open to visitors with an entrance charge.
