CV joints better known as Constant Velocity Joints basically are rotating shafts which emit power via a variable angle, at stable rotational speed, devoid of any substantial increase in friction or play.
CV joint are generally applied in the front wheel drive of all wheel driven cars. On the other hand, rear wheel drive cars which have an independent rear suspension characteristically apply CV joints towards the end of the rear axle half shafts. Audi Quattros generally apply them for all four half-axes and towards the front-to-rear driveshaft as well.
Initial front wheel drive systems often applied the Citroen Traction Avant for the front axles of the Land Rover and also for similar four wheeled cars.

A CV joint is also known as Constant Velocity Joints, which allocates the revolving shaft which in turn sends out power all the way through a changeable angle, at steady rotating speed, devoid of a substantial augment in friction or play. They are mostly in front wheel drive and all wheel drive cars. An example would be Audi Quattros utilizes it for all the four half-axles and on the front-to-rear drive shaft as well, for an entirety of ten CV joints.
The two different types of CV joint are inboard and outboard. In inboard the shaft only keeps shifting in an up and down direction with the help of a suspension. In outboard the drive shaft is splined which attaches into the outer "joint"
