Is The Landlord Required To Give The Tenant A Copy Of The Lease?

I haven't received a copy of my lease and the landlord is stating they do not have to give me one.

    If they wish to enforce the lease, they must. Contact Multifamily Licensing Division or Code Enforcement or Attorney General's office for your state. In Texas, our leases are TAA leases and are required both parties have signed copies.

      I've never heard of such, but I don't know where you live. Ask them to show you a copy of the law that says they don't. If they can't, and still won't give you a copy, check with your local office for landlord/tenant issues.
