I have researched several websites which contain information on Honda motorcycles to no avail. The newer model Hondas from 2000 to the present are highlighted with a lot of information.
I believe since your model is an 82 you will need to contact a local Honda motorcycle dealer who can tell you, where to locate your oil sight glass if in fact there is one on your particular model. Some dealers provide mechanic services or will refer you to a local service mechanic. Either place should have access to a fact sheet on the location of all the parts on your motorcycle with graphics and diagrams included.

There is no sight glass ! All Magnas have a dipstick. Put the bike on the center stand to check the oil level.

Under where you add the oil. On bottom side of left case my brother in law wondered the same question tonight an i found and showed him
