Who Was The First Mughal Emperor?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

It was in the year 1516, that the first Mughal emperor Babur, whose real name was Zahiruddin Mohammed, marked his entry in the subcontinent, using the route through the Khyber Pass.  Being the pioneer to the outset of a dynasty that ruled the subcontinent for years, Babur was a valiant warrior and a phenomenal ruler, who although did not admire the ambience of the subcontinent but ruled it with gnarly elan.  In the year 1526, under the leadership of Babur, the battle of Paniput was won by his army.  The factors that played a major role in the victory were mostly related to the leader himself, some of them being his ineffable valour and organized leadership, his exceptional military flair and the discipline he had managed to entrench in his army.  Babur is not just remembered as the first Mughal ruler and a great warrior but there were some other talents as well that accentuate his distinctness such as his literary penchant and his aesthetic taste.  His memoirs are stored in the volumes of Tuzk-e-Babur.
