What Is Call Center?

Answer Question

2 Answers - Sort by: Date | Rating

A call center is an office that specializes in receiving, processing and transmitting calls. What happens is that these call centers have trained people who can deal with the customer service issues or telemarketing etc. What often happens is that large firms that do not want to tie up their resources by creating a facility of their own outsource the responsibility to a call center who acts on behalf of the company. The canter receives incoming calls from customers and also handles outgoing calls for telemarketing, contacting customers and suppliers etc. They have specialized equipment that can handle the huge influx and out flux of calls and queries.
