Why Did Charles Darwin Go Travelling?

    He was actually sent on a voyage to the Galapagos Islands in the Pacific by his tutor in Cambridge. To research the islands because back then no one knew what foreign lands were like. He then went on to write the origin of species, which was ridiculed at the time, but now he is admired.
