Dale Carnegie was born in the year 1888 in US state of Missouri. His father was a poor farmer named James William Carnagey and because of the poverty, Dale had to work extra hard; he used to get up at 4 in the morning to milk the cows. Though he faced a lot of difficulties, he managed to complete his education in the State teacher's College and took his first job as a salesperson; he used to sell correspondence course to ranchers. He did some other sales job also and that include selling of lard, bacon and soaps too.
Later he came into motivational writing and rest became history. He became one of the best selling writers in the world and his books still attracts readers in large number. If you visit a good book store, you yourself can find the evidence of his popularity when you see the huge sell of his books.
