    There are a number of bridges named Millennium Bridge all around the world. In England alone there are four bridges with the same name, namely The London Millennium Bridge, the Lune Millennium Bridge, in Lancaster, the Gateshead Millennium Bridge and the York Millennium Bridge. In Ireland there's the Millennium Bridge in Dublin. In Scotland, there's the Millennium Bridge in Glasgow.
    There Millennium Bridge, Podgorica is located in Montenegro. There also the Third Millennium John Paul II Bridge, in Gdansk in Poland. These are just some of the better known Millennium Bridges.
    The famous London Millennium Footbridge is a steel suspension bridge across the River Thames in England. This pedestrian-only bridge is built between the existing Blackfriars Bridge and Southwark Bridge and it links the City with Bankside.
    Since the Tower Bridge in 1894, this was the first new bridge to be constructed in London across the Thames and Bridge House Estates is the charitable trust that both owns and maintains the bridge. The Corporation of London oversees the trust. The bridge offers one of London's most picturesque views of St Paul's Cathedral.
