The song was originally sung in French but it was later dubbed in English by Mack David. The name of the song literally means 'Life in Pink'. The lyrics of the song signify that whenever the singer is with her lover, her life becomes all pink and nice. It is a very romantic and simple song and usually talks about the finer things in life whenever the singer is with her lover. The song received a Grammy Hall of Fame in 1998 which was credited to Edith Piaf.
