    Yes, there is a university in Chichester. The university is quite old and was established way back in 1839. The name of the university is University of Chichester.

    The university offers various courses in several areas of study. They have departments in cultural studies, international studies, physical education, social studies, sport, exercise and health sciences, teacher education, visual and performing arts and others. The address of the university is as follows:

    The history of the university starts in the year 1839, when at the funeral of William Otter, Bishop of Chichester, the members Diocese who had influence thought of paying tribute to the bishop, who was a supporter of promoting education among Diocese. They named it 'Bishop Otter's School for Training Masters'in the memory of the late Bishop. The name that is in use now was taken in the year 2005.
