What Would Cause My Cr85 Not To Start, And Back Fire When I Do Try To Start It?

It is a Honda. Duh, and it flutters when i try to start it. At first i thought it was flooded, but it wasn't. It wouldn't start..... I kept on trying, and then it backfired bad.(loud) it gets spark The guy claimed he put every think new in there and told us to run 32:1 in it with the gas... And when it was running, it fludded until the power band kicked in.... So please help!

    Blocked jet in carb. Or timing off.

    I found out it was the pistions and rings..

    Also Crank Indexing can do funny things and make engines backfire and not run

      Check the engine is breathing correctly
