Buttered Prawns is a very simple recipe that can be prepared. All you require is the right ingredients and the at least half an hour of your time. The ingredients required are 600 g (1-1/4lb) large prawns, 2-3 tablespoons butter, 15 birds's eye chillies, 10-15 sprigs curry leaves, 2 cloves garlic, finely chopped, 1/2 teaspoons salt, 2 tablespoons sugar, 1/2 teaspoon light soy sauce, 1/2 teaspoon Chinese wine, 1/2 grated coconut, dry fried until golden and most of all oil for deep frying.
The preparation process is as follows; first and foremost take away the head from the prawns but take it out in such a way that you leave the shell. Then let the water drain out from the prawns and then deep fry it in oil. Drain it and keep it aside. Now melt the butter with chillies, curry leaves, garlic and salt and fry for about 2 minutes. Then add the prawns sugar, soy sauce, wine and grated coconut. Cover and heat it for approximately 1-2 minutes and keep stirring it. And most important thing is to serve this dish when it's hot, it will taste as delicious as the name suggest!!!
