What Does Humility Mean?

Humility is said to be the quality or a certain characteristic that has been given to a person who is known to be humble in nature. A person who is humble in nature is said to be a genuine person who is modest in his approach to every thing, some one who doesn't think very high of himself. The word humility should not be puzzled with the term humiliation; they are both very different. Humiliation is considered as the act of making some other feel ashamed of something he has done or not done.

It is said that humility is the foundation of ones spiritual edifice. In a way it also stands for the foundation of Faith in Spirituality. Submission to god is one of the most important things in humility.
