Do You Believe In Folklore?

Can you get up in the morning if you have a bad thought in your head, or would you rather stay in bed. People instinctively know what their day is going to be like, do you?

I tend to think that sort of thing as more of a self fulfilling prophecy than a premonition..

I would rather stay in bed just because it's comfortable and I'm lazy.:) no one wants to works but most people have to in order to pay bills. As for me if i don't get up and do something i feel worse than if i stayed in the bed all day. Now I'm not saying i have not stayed in bed all day on a saturday and watched cartoons or a movie.:) i also have feelings about days but it is usually do to the weather and if i had something planned to do outside. I don't think the day depends on a thought or should i say i think it has to depend on the way you think you want to spend the day. Like dll said i think you make of a day what you want out of it.

I too believe that the day will be what you make of it.  However, I personally have a chemical imbalance in my brain.  There have been many days when I did not want to get out of bed.  At times I do not want to see people or to be seen.  I am bipolar, have PTSD, OCD and social anxiety topped off with depression.  For years I suffered and lately finally got up the courage to get help.  I did LOTS of research until I found a medication that I was willing to try.  I've been taking Celexa for a month now and it has really changed my life!

The way you put it, sounds like  self fulfilling prophecy, but I had a day recently that made me think. I did not feel right when I woke up and all morning I dropped, knocked stuff over, tripped over things, making messes and getting some very strange looks. I began to get in real foul humor after a bit, and that just made it worse... So I prayed. I felt better about it, but I still continued to be a klutz. It was just so strange like I knew something was not right, but heck, I am a few beams short of a load bearing wall, and it could just have been the way I perceived it.

as for folklore in general, I believe that there is a reason or sense about it, if only in history.
