    The famous words of Winston Churchill are "We shall go on to the end. We shall fight in France, we shall fight on the seas and oceans, and we shall fight with growing confidence and growing strength in the air. We shall defend our island whatever the cost maybe. We shall fight on the beaches, we shall fight on the landing grounds, we shall fight in the fields and in the streets, and we shall fight on the hills. We shall never surrender!"

    Sir Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill was a famous author and the Prime Minister of the UK during World War II. He was a powerful orator, strategist and politician, he was said to be one of the most influential leaders of the modern British Era.

    He won a Noble prize award for literature in the year 1953 for his works and contribution towards English literature.

      Churchill made many famous comments in his long career, both as a stateman and as a reporter / journalist.

      One famous exchange he had was in the British parliament when he appeared there drunk. He was challenged by an indignant woman who told him he was drunk. His reply was:

      'Madam, I may be drunk, but you are ugly and in the morning I will be sober.'
