How Does The Electric Flux Density Depend On The Properties Of The Medium?

I am new to Blurtit and would like to ask questions and share information relating to my college studies

Electric Flux density is basically the measure of the strength of an electric field generated by a free electric charge which corresponds to the number of electric lines of force passing through a given area. It depends on the properties of the medium as the electric field strength is multiplied by the permittivity of the material, so the permittivity of the material plays a great a role in electric flux density.
