What Type Of Perceptual Process Would Be Detrimental To The Efficient Operation Of An Organisation?

Answer Question

1 Answer - Sort by: Date | Rating

Organizational operations can be complex, if they are not carried out within a strategy. It is important for every business to ensure that all the operations, at the various levels, are in sync with one another. They need to follow a plan of action, under professional supervision. The success of the activity wholly depends on the synchronization at the centre. This is where the importance of perceptual processes plays a major role.

Perceptual process is that which provides specific information about certain actions. These are usually actions that can be performed to benefit the organization. The initiative is expected to give an insight into activity-specific information that is required to control actions and enhance organization. However, if the initiative is not focused, it could be detrimental to efficient operation. The decision takers, usually the members of the top management, are expected to hold the interests of the organization higher than personal ambitions. In case, this element of loyalty and accountability is missing, it could affect the operations adversely.

There has to be absolute clarity in a perceptual process for it to benefit the organization and operations. A lapse on the part of department heads or any kind of ulterior, selfish motive harboured can be very detrimental to the efficient operations of an organization.
