What Does Damon Hill Do Today?

    At the end of the 1999 season Damon Hill retired from motorcycle racing and on 28th of April 2006 he was elected as the President of the British Racing Drivers Club (BRDC), succeeding Jackie Stewart.

    After retiring, Hill founded P1 International a high-performance car leasing business which is based in Surrey, England. He also became involved in a dealership with BMW and has often contributed articles to F1 Racing, the grand prix magazine. Hill appeared in the June 2005 in Top Gear, a British automotive program in the UK, in addition to other TV shows like 'This is Your Life' and 'TFI Friday'. He has appeared on talk shows like the 'Late Show with David Letterman' and 'The Shooting Stars'.

    During his school days, Hill along with a couple of friends started their own punk band and never lost interest in music. He played with George Harrison (of the Beatles) on several occasions and recorded with Def Leppard. The Conrods was Hill's most recent band and was active right up to 2003 when Hill became BRDC president and was forced to abandon his guitar.
