What Happened To Johnny Winters?

Nothing happened to him and Johnny Winter is still ruling the roost when it comes to playing guitar. He was signed by Columbia records way back in the year 1969 and the moment he was signed it was the dawn of the new era in the playing of guitar. It was he who laid out the blueprint for the fresh take of the classic blues, a combination set for the legions of the fans that were discovering the blues by listening to Jimmy page and Eric Clapton.
      
The feature that is distinct to him was that he could simply shift himself from the country blues to that of the electric slide guitar blue. He was also considered as the torch-bearer of the blues through out the two decades of 70s and 80s.
